Keep both.
The card remains useful for certain purchases, hotels, reservations, and online payments.
But a large part of small local transactions can be done directly from a banking app.
It is therefore advisable to always have:
a Vietnamese bank card + the banking app + some cash.
Vietnam is highly digitized, but cash remains useful in certain situations.
