The Caisse des Français de l’Étranger (CFE) allows expatriate French citizens to maintain coverage based on the French system.
It offers different plans depending on age and situation.
For example, the MondExpat Santé plan covers consultations, medications, tests, hospitalizations, maternity, dental care, emergency transport, and certain vaccinations, with reimbursements calculated according to its rules.
However, the CFE is not simply an "international Vitale card".
Reimbursement may not cover the entire bill of a private hospital.
