24. Your insurance may have its own network

This is very important.

Before a scheduled hospitalization, check if your insurer works directly with the facility.

Some contracts offer:

• direct billing or third-party payment.

In this case, the insurance pays all or part of the bill directly.

Without this, you may have to:

• pay first then request reimbursement.

For a small consultation, this is not necessarily a problem.

For a major hospitalization, the difference is considerable.
