For someone working remotely, I clearly recommend a personal connection when possible.
Shared Wi-Fi

👍 no contract to manage
👍 sometimes included in the rent
but:
👎 variable speed
👎 many users
👎 limited router control
👎 potentially poor performance in the evening.
Personal Fiber
👍 more stable connection
👍 your own router
👍 better network control
👍 preferable for remote work
For a stay of a year or more, personal fiber may be worth it.
