The consolidated law in 2026 provides for maximum durations that can reach:
- LĐ1 / LĐ2: up to 2 years
- TT: up to 3 years
- DH: up to 5 years
- ĐT2: up to 5 years
- ĐT1: up to 10 years.
The card is also linked to the validity of the passport: its duration must be less than the remaining duration of the passport according to the rules provided by law.
